Come say Hello to the beautiful, Sydney! There are so many things I loved, loved, loved about her senior session! We bounced all over Sioux Falls at some of my favorite places to photograph.
I always, always encourage seniors to bring others along to their session. Senior Portraits are an experience that you only get to do one time and I feel it should be a celebration of who you are. And that it should be shared with those who love you best and want to celebrate how amazing you are.
Sydney brought an awesome entourage with her including her Mom and sisters but the one who had us all cracking up was her adorable little brother. Cute as a button that guy and you could see he just doted on his beautiful big sister! I just couldn’t help capturing a few outtakes with him and Sydney’s sweet sisters.
It’s a BIG deal being the oldest child. The first to graduate. And I could see in all of them how excited they were for Sydney and how much they love her. The relationship we have with our siblings is the longest one of our entire life. And sometimes we get so busy doing life and occasionally squabbling over silly things. But when push comes to shove you can bet these people will always be there for each other.
And you’d better not mess with Sydney either. Those sweet laughing smiles? (And she has the biggest most amazing laughing smile!) Just watch out. They turn into an incredibly intense competition stance.
And she has a bit of practice with that after all her years in Soccer. And this fall? A perfect senior year accomplishment. Leading your team to the State Championship Game. Epic awesomeness. Congrats to the fantastic O’Gorman Lady Knights State Champions (so proud of my alma mater!). Sydney’s soccer portraits, on the O’Gorman field, were certainly some of my favorites.
I’m not sure if I say often enough how much I love having my studio in Downtown Sioux Falls. I love how close so many amazing spots and I happened to discover one that perfectly matched Sydney’s outfit and her fabulous ginger hair. Did I mention her beautiful freckles? Sigh.
Senior girls today are just so beautiful inside and out! I love how much they each have such a unique sense of style and how confident they are in who they are. I love seeing a family surrounding one of their own in such love and admiration.
Hold your head high, Sydney. You are a Child of the Creator. A Woman above reproach. A masterpiece of His handiwork. Thank you for allowing me to capture of the amazing person you are.
