{Sioux Falls Newborn Photographer} Welcome Baby Tedric

I have to admit that as I worked on these images, I had to wipe away tears…several times, in fact. I feel so blessed to do what I do and to capture the most amazing lives for people who have just become life long friends and for people who I’ve known for, well, about half my life in this case.

I’ve known my sister-in-law, Erica, since she was a Junior in High school. I’ve watched her grow into an amazing woman and have known and prayed for her as I knew she always longed to be a wife and mother. Erica has had the most whirlwind year. Getting married to her new husband, Roland, in a beautiful island ceremony, a fabulous wedding reception, graduate school, position changes at her job, a move and now the biggest and most wonderful change of them all – Sweet Baby Tedric.

Tedric arrived right on time exactly on his due date. Fortunately the kiddos had a couple of days break from school just a few days after he made his grand entrance and we made a fast trip up to the Cities to meet their newest little cousin. And while I love all my nieces this is only my second nephew (and Noah has been around for 6 years now!) The boys are so excited to have another boy cousin. Leona loved holding him and did a great job pushing his stroller on his first walk around the neighborhood.

When I get the chance to photograph someone in their home there is just a little bit of extra magic. There is such an intimacy and I always feel so honored to capture these exquisite moments. My heart swelled with happiness for Erica and Roland as they loved on Tedric.

These new baby moments are so sweet and go so quickly (even if the nights seem to never end!) I can’t wait to get my hands on this little sweetheart again. I can guarantee this will not be the last you see of the most adorable new member of my family.

Congratulations, Erica and Roland. Tedric was chosen especially for you. Life’s most amazing miracle. God’s most precious gift. Welcome to the greatest adventure you’ll ever experience.
