As I glance at the clock it’s so hard for me to believe that we are in the last few hours of 2015. I really do feel like this year just flew by and somehow I blinked and here we are on the brink of a new year.
This was such a wonderful year for me but also one of my very hardest. We had two major life events in my family; my husband’s layoff in the spring (and new job start in the summer) and my dad’s diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma Cancer accompanied by a 3 month hospital stay and now adjusting to life as a paraplegic with continuing cancer treatments.
Through all of the many hardships, doubts, fears and tears there were also many reasons to celebrate. My sweet trio turned 10, I earned my Certified Professional Photographers distinction, a new job for my hubby and the many wonderful people who have made 2015 incredible.
There have been so many times through this year where I have been just completely overwhelmed. Not by the amount I have to do every day but by the amount of love and support our family has been given this year. The countless phone calls, texts, encouraging words and relentless prayers by all of you leave me so humbled. So thankful.
We say the word Blessed so often this time of year but it’s really the only word I can find to describe how I feel. I’m so grateful and honored that so many open their lives to me. To capture memories of your family. To freeze time and celebrate what makes every person unique. The laughter of a child. The anticipation of youth as they step into the world.
As I look forward I have so many exciting things to look forward to in 2016. I’m looking forward to some down time to relax and be creative. To spend time with those I love.
Each year at the studio one of my favorite times of the year are the ModSquad shoot and this year we will have TWO amazing ModSquad days!! I’ll have more information coming next week but so many have been asking for the application so be sure to check it out HERE!
Enjoy this little glimpse of what we’ve been busy with this year from our Portrait and Senior Sessions. Commercial Photography highlights will have to wait for another day!
I am blessed by the presence of each one of you. Thank you for making 2015 the most incredible year at Julie Prairie Photography. May you and your family enjoy all of the gifts of grace God has to offer in 2016. Happy New Year!
